The Rebuke. I had a class yesterday for 8 am, at about 7:45 I was still home, you could see fear all over me because of the lecturer taking the course, he is so unpredictable but one thing is for sure, he wouldn’t let you into the class after him, which means you’ve missed attendance for that day and possibly a short gun (unannounced test).
I hurriedly left home, everyone knew what course I was having whenever I acted that way. I began to run and wished time would wait for me or stand still till I got to school but it didn’t, rather, it was ticking pretty faster than the usual.
I had just alighted the bike around the school’s Main gate still running to catch up with my all so important class (as i thought), when I was rebuked by a voice.
The voice asked me these “when last did you, because you were late, run this way to church or to attend to the things of God, when last did His fear (God) engulf you this strongly, when last did you shiver because you were not doing the right thing or was getting something wrong?”.
I was enveloped by a grave silence and I tried answering these questions honestly, and I got my answers in that silent moment.
You Know most times its amazing how God uses physical realities to teach us a thing highly spiritual and convey religious lessons
If only we would handle His things with so much passion as we handle our works,
If only we would treat Him the way we treat our bosses and lecturers.
It is disheartening how that we fear the human figure greater than the supernatural, is it because we know that God is merciful and kind?
Would drop my pen here but before then would leave you with these
How have you been treating God?
How have you been handling His stuff?
Have you been reverencing him?
Let’s see this piece as a call to adjustment
It is not enough to say you love God, let your actions speak that love wherever you find yourself and at anytime.
