Man stabs friend multiple times, claims he insulted his mother during argument


A man has been arrested for st@bbing his Zimbabwean friend multiple times with a knife after accusing him of insulting his mother during a heated argument. 

 

 

The suspect was arrested on Friday, November 14, 2025 in Parkgate – KZN, South Africa. 

 

 

According to Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), officers received an emergency call after the 42-year-old Zimbabwean national was stabbed in the chest.

 

“Reaction Officers and RUSA Paramedics were dispatched to the scene, where they found the injured man seated in the passenger seat of an Opel Corsa bakkie. He was treated for three stab wounds to his chest,” the statement read. 

 

“According to the victim, he had been consuming alcohol with an acquaintance when an argument began. 

 

“The suspect, believing the victim had insulted his mother, allegedly produced a knife and st@bbed him repeatedly. 

 

“The community intervened and assaulted the suspect. He thereafter fled.

 

“Reaction Officers received information that the suspect was hiding in a nearby bar. 

 

“Upon arrival, Officers spotted the man attempting to flee. He was arrested as he entered a tavern in the area.

 

“The suspect was heavily intoxicated at the time of his arrest and unable to recall where he had discarded the weapon used in the attack.”
