God First. A life without God is completely dead. Both in spirit, and physical. A lot of people wander around without thinking who really owns them. They are like the sheep in the desert who know not their shepherd and feel like without the shepherd, they can wander on their own and be guided all by themselves.
They do things without thinking if God exists. This is the feeling a lot of people feel when they seem to be content with what they have. Have you ever asked yourself; on who’s ability are those riches given unto you? Have you ever asked yourself; why you go to sleep at night and finding yourself waking up to the next day? Have you ever asked yourself why everything around you seems to be ok?
All these are God’s purposes upon us. God created us from his own image, so he never forsakes us. God watches over us day and night; He knows everything about us because we are His’. God never changes his plans on us, for He is mightier than our desires. What could that be, that makes us forget God or not calling on him first?
I recalled losing my mother to death when I was just too young and Brittle; I cried bitterly for I knew not how to start growing myself up from a girl, to a lady, and to a woman. My Father had to take the responsibilities of both Mother and Father in bringing my siblings and I up, which he did his best. A few years after Mother’s dead, God called him also to rest.
At that point, I felt God didn’t care about us. I will wake up one morning and forget that the word prayer exists. I will continue with my daily activities and sleep when the sun sets without a Pray. On a good day, I asked myself, “do you know what you are doing to yourself”? Yes, I was killing myself in spirit. And later on, I overcame it all. I remembered God, I realized I’m nothing without Him. Just like a child who would always run to its parent when being fought by friends, because the child knows only its parent are strong to fight for him/ her; So is God. Why should I forget calling on the one who made me and provides me with everything?
When we handle our situations unto God, he finishes them for us (Proverbs 16:3). Many have turned away from God, both in better or worse situations, but I want us to know that seeking first; God’s kingdom and his righteousness adds everything we could ever want unto us. (Mathew 6:33). He is the only God and creator of all things.
Surrendering ourselves unto God makes him work on us and being with us. Let’s call on God first, and He will be the first to answer us. He will show us the mighty things which we have never seen. He is the first and the last, the beginning and the end. Let us honor Him with our wealth and all that we have; then our barns will be filled in plenty. (Proverbs 3:9-10)
Dear Brethren, God First!!!
